FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Answers to common questions before traveling

Can I start with an online consultation?

Yes. An initial remote consultation can help review your history, available records and goals. The team can then explain which evaluations require an in-person visit.

How long will I need to stay in Culiacán or Mazatlán?

It depends on the treatment, the timing of your cycle and whether monitoring can be completed near your home. Ask for an individual estimate before booking flights.

Which ViaFERT location should I choose?

The appropriate location depends on your treatment, the services available for each stage and appointment logistics. The team will guide you before you travel.

Can monitoring be completed near my home?

In selected cases. ViaFERT must confirm which tests can be performed remotely, the required dates and the technical information that must be reported.

Can I travel with fertility medications?

Usually, but storage instructions, original packaging and a prescription or medical letter are important. Check the airline’s rules for needles, syringes, liquids and cooling packs.

Will I need a travel companion?

It depends on the procedure. Sedation or surgery may require a responsible adult to accompany you when you leave the clinic.

Is bed rest required after embryo transfer?

You will receive individual instructions. Routine absolute bed rest has not been shown to improve outcomes; the recommendations from your clinical team take priority.

What happens if the procedure date changes?

Some dates may change as treatment progresses. Flexible flight and accommodation policies can reduce logistical stress.
