How ViaFERT selects sources, identifies medical reviewers, updates content and corrects information about fertility and assisted reproduction.
EDITORIAL PROCESS
From a clinical question to understandable information
The purpose is to answer real questions with clear, verifiable information proportionate to the evidence—not simply to publish more text.
- Define the question. Identify what a person needs to understand and which decisions the information may help them discuss.
- Find sources. Prioritize health authorities, professional societies, clinical guidelines, reviews and relevant original documents.
- Write with context. Distinguish general information, possible indications, risks, limitations and matters requiring individual assessment.
- Medical review. For clinical topics, identify the person whose review of medical clarity and consistency has been confirmed.
- Publish with traceability. Keep a stable page address and explain publication, update or review dates when they provide useful context.
- Review and correct. Correct material errors and relevant changes without presenting an old page as an entirely new publication.
SOURCE HIERARCHY
The evidence ViaFERT prioritizes
- Primary and regulatory sources: applicable regulations, health authorities, official registries and original documents.
- Professional guidance: recommendations and committee opinions from recognized medical societies, with their date and scope.
- Reviews and studies: systematic reviews, consensus statements and clinical studies relevant to the question.
- Institutional information: services, locations, credentials and processes that ViaFERT can document directly.
A citation to ASRM, HFEA, ESHRE or another organization identifies a source. It does not mean that organization certifies, accredits or endorses ViaFERT.
MEDICAL REVIEW
Review is not the same as authorship
A medical-review attribution identifies who checked clinical consistency. It does not imply authorship of every sentence or turn general information into an individual treatment recommendation.

Where review confirmation is recorded, the confirmation date is distinguished from the date the review actually took place. An unknown review date is not invented. Changes to reviewed content or a new version require a new review confirmation; a previous confirmation does not automatically approve future edits.

CORRECTIONS AND UPDATES
Preserve page history without concealing changes
Where possible, ViaFERT keeps the original page address, corrects material information and links, and updates editorial dates when content actually changes. The age of a URL does not replace content quality; keeping it supports continuity of references and links for readers and search engines.
The medical-review record distinguishes confirmed content from a changed version awaiting confirmation. New publications are not automatically medically approved.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND PRIVACY
AI can assist editing, but cannot replace clinical review
Automated tools may help organize, compare, translate or review drafts. They must not serve as the sole medical source or receive identifiable patient information to generate public content. Clinical claims must be traceable to a relevant source or documented institutional information.
CONTENT LIMITATIONS
What a website cannot decide for you
- It does not replace a consultation, examination, ultrasound or clinically indicated testing.
- It cannot determine an individual prognosis without clinical context.
- It does not guarantee fertilization, embryos, implantation, pregnancy or live birth.
- It does not replace independent legal advice for gestational surrogacy.
- It should not be used to purchase medication or arrange travel without confirmed instructions from the appropriate professionals.

If you find inaccurate information or a broken link, identify the page and the issue through ViaFERT’s contact page or informes@viafert.com. Do not include sensitive medical information or identifiable patient records in an unsecured first message.
